Yaqubos
Peace to you and Love from my Lord ! Brothers, in this message I would like to write to you about the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! This Love has a special name in the ancient Koïne Greek (The language in which the New Testament was written). That word is "Agape". Agape is the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Agape or Unconditional Love accepts you as you are, loves you and gives you with no demand for return. When someone really loves with that kind of love (Agape), he accepts you without conditions. But when we say "accepts you", so we have to conclude that you have first to come to him! When we talk about someone accepting, we have to talk also about someone demanding to be accepted. Agape: this is how God loves you! He gives you everything you NEED before you ask. Sometimes you don't have what you need, but that's because of your sins. SIN is the problem between man and GOD. And this SIN is what made us out of Paradise! I mean, man didn't want to honor God and to respect His holy Will! And this is SIN! And God hates sin! But God Loves sinners. So if a man COMES to Him, He accepts him! But how can He accept you if you don't COME and DEMAND TO BE ACCEPTED! He respects your freedom! If you don't choose Him, then you are choosing SIN and Eternal Hell! God is ready to accept you WITHOUT CONDITIONS, because He is LOVE. The Bible says: "The one who does not love does not know God, for GOD IS LOVE". And the word used here is "Agape" (God is Agape). For there are two other words in Greek: "Philia" (conditional love = a love in which there is a give-and-take), and "Eros" (self-seeking love = a love concerned with its own desires). But the word used in the New Testament is "Agape". And it's a fact that God loves us with UNCONDITIONAL Love. Look to everything He gives you without demanding anything. He even gives you things that you sometimes don't deserve! And as for your SINS (your great problem with Him), God always applies the same Love (Agape) for God doesn't change. You come to Him as a SINNER (not as someone who has done good deeds that deserve forgiveness!) And He accepts you! Yes, He accepts you when you are still a sinner without anything good in you (POOR IN SPIRIT!) And this glorifies Him alone! For if you had something you can do to DESERVE forgiveness, then you could glorify yourself by those good deeds. No…No… "Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Thy name give glory because of Thy lovingkindness, because of Thy truth" says the psalmist in the Bible. So, we have to be humble. And even being humble must not make us be proud ! I mean that we can't be proud about being humble!!! So being humble is not something good we do by our self-righteousness! When we are humble we are what we OUGHT to be. I am POOR IN SPIRIT, so it's normal for me to be humble! A POOR man cannot be proud of having very much money! He is POOR, so he OUGHT to be HUMBLE. And when he is humble, he is not doing some good work! He OUGHT TO BE HUMBLE! And, because we are POOR, we need the GRACE of God. So we have to demand SALVATION from HIM. And He accepts us, because He paid the price of our sins. JESUS PAID THAT PRICE ON THE CROSS! God respects His Holy Law and He forgives you (the sinner) in the same time! For as He gave a sacrifice to Abraham (in the place of his son), He also gave us Jesus to be a Sacrifice for us! So the debt of your sins is paid by Jesus. God loved you so much, that He even paid the debt of your sins! If you accept His sacrifice, you don't pay the price of your sin (Price of sin = Eternal Hell). If you do not accept that sacrifice, then you will pay that price YOURSELF (You will go to hell !). If Abraham didn't accept the sacrifice that God gave him, he would sacrifice his son! Dear brother, God loves you. The Christ says: "The one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out." He accepts you AS YOU ARE. Do not believe those who tell you that you have to do good deeds in order to be accepted. God didn't put conditions, because He knows that you are POOR and you can't pay! You are POOR IN SPIRIT, so you can't pay good deeds! But when you come to Him, He gives you a new nature that loves to do His Will! Then you will do good deeds! You will LOVE to do good deeds. Why do you think that if your good deeds will not deserve forgiveness, then you will not do good deeds? God doesn't need forgiveness, but He DOES good deeds! Please, brother, think seriously about your ETERNITY! Think seriously about your relation with your Holy God. If you take your sins with you to the Judgment, then you will CERTAINLY go to Hell, because God hates sin! So if someone tells you that your sins and your good deeds will be put on the balance, he is then lying! If your sins will be there on the balance, so they are NOT forgiven! God Loves you and He is ready to forgive your sins! And when He forgives them, He will never mention them again!
