mazd Posted July 26, 2004 Report Share Posted July 26, 2004 Отличная идея! *** Dear Friends of AVC, The Armenian Volunteer Corps’ (AVC) third generation of volunteers is ready to move on and we are looking for eager Diasporans to take the torch. The 25 volunteers who have come and gone over the past year took with them the experience and enjoyment of working and living in our homeland. Teaching English, mentoring children, and working in businesses, are just some of the activities you can take part in with the AVC. Recently one of our volunteers organized a summer festival at one of the local orphanages in Yerevan. We all pitched in and the day was a glorious success. With all of our long- term volunteers choosing to remain in Armenia, it is clear that AVC volunteers feel as much of an affect from Armenia, as Armenia feels from them. Our fourth generation of volunteers will be arriving soon and are ready to begin. However, we are still searching for Armenians who are over the age of 21 and looking for the experience of a lifetime. Our fall group is still open, but time is growing short.
