Вызывают ассоциации с венецианским карнавалом и библейским Вавилоном. Они символичны и всегда имеют подтекст, который художник не скрывает, а, наоборот, четко прописывает прямо на холсте - торопливым и неясным почерком, на родном армянском языке. Его герои - арлекины, женщины, шуты, короли, философы и святые. У его женщин - нежные лица и глаза с поволокой, его мужчины - задумчивы и сдержанны.
