Komitas Translation

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I recently came across the beautiful folk songs of Komitas, and have been attempting to translate some lyrics into English (for my own better understanding and appreciation). I'm having a bit of difficulty with one of the lines in 'Hoy Nazan', and if anone could please help me out with the meaning I'd be so grateful!

The lyrics as they appear in the Armenian script: գըլխիս վըրով պըտիտ տուր. I hope I haven't made any spelling mistakes  . The 'Anglicised' transcription I have is: Gulkhis vurov putit toor.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help a poor ignorant Australian! :)
