Скрипач - победитель и лауреат многочисленных конкурсов в настоящее время проживает в Германии. Недавно Сергей Хачатрян в Брюсселе был удостоен почетного первого приза на престижном конкурсе королевы Елизаветы, получив право в течение четырех лет играть на скрипке Хаггинз великого Страдивари. Как сообщили ИА REGNUM в пресс-службе президента Армении, Роберт Кочарян поздравил молодого скрипача в связи с победой и отметил, что это большая городость для всех армян. Пожелав Сергею Хачатряну новых творческих успехов, Роберт Кочарян выразил пожелание, чтобы он хотя бы раз в год выступал с концертами на родине. 24 сентября в концертном зале имени Арама Хачатуряна запланировано выступление Сергея Хачатряна с Национальным камерным ансамблем Армении. Sergey Khachatryan was born in 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia. In December 2000 won First Prize in the VIII International Jean Sibelius competition in Helsinki, becoming the youngest ever winner in the history of the competition. In 2005 he also claimed the first prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. Having made his UK debut in March 2001 with the English Chamber Orchestra, Sergey subsequently performed with the RPO, the CBSO, the BBC Philharmonic, the LPO and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Sergey’s international profile has developed through collaborations with the Tokyo Philharmonic and Vladimir Fedoseyev; the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Manfred Honeck; the Orchestre National de France and Kurt Masur; Frankfurt Radiosinfonieorchester with Daniel Harding and the Cleveland Orchestra with Roberto Abbado. His career will continue its ascent during the forthcoming seasons with invitations from the RSO Berlin and Marek Janowski; the New York Philharmonic and Kurt Masur; the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra with Riccardo Chailly and the NHK Symphony in Tokyo. Sergey’s forthcoming recital work will take him to the Wigmore Hall; Brussels Consersvatory; the Hamburg Musikhalle; the Serate Musicali series in Milan; the National Concert Hall in Dublin; the Vancouver Recital Society and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Following the success of his Sibelius concerto recording released in October 2003, Sergey’s relationship with Naïve Classique continues with a disc of combined solo and chamber violin repertoire and a planned double Shostakovich concerto disc with the ONF and Masur.
