Their main constituent element is the combined, semi-combined carbonic acid and cooking salt-carbonic acid, chloride, hydrocarbonate-sodic water of various mineralization (2-7 gm/l) and temperature (12-210) CO3. In carbonic-acid waters there exists natrium, calcium, magnium, chlorsulphates, hydrocarbonate, and less ammonium, lithium, strontium, barium, iron, zink, nickel, cuprum, aluminium, lead, manganese, fluorine, bromine, iodine, phosphate, nitrates and some other microelements. The mentioned chemical substances are in complex combinations, are changed from the quantity and chemical nature of their acidity, temperature, external pressure, and other conditions of the environment. Arzni water on the basis of geological physicochemical indices is connected with deep fresh water, bringing accumulation of cooking salt, gypsum and other substances. The mentioned substances are lixiviated by water which is saturated by carbon dioxide coming from deep volcanic hearth by rifts and then only are expressed on the surface. The main medical factor in the resort of Arzni is carbonic-acid water (applied for bathing and drinking) and the carbon dioxide in it. More characterized feature of chemical composition of all its varieties is their ion-salty complex of the same type in comparatively wide range of general mineralization (ranging 1, 5 to 13, 1 gm/l). Natrium is most of all in cations (68-78%). Magnium (13-18%) prevails calcium (8-13%) in the rest cations. Potassium (up to 0, 86%) and iron protoxide is in significant qualities. Ca+2 60-150 (The presence of ion-calcium in the water increases its medical value as calcium ion has an anti-inflammatory effect, decreases motility of gastrointestinal tract). Cl-1 500-1300 (Chlorine ion is a strong irritant of mucous membrane of the stomach, strengthens the secretion of glands and discharge of hydrochloric acid. So chloride waters must be mainly used either in absence or sub acidity. SO4+2 70-200 (Sulphate ion in compound with magnium gives sulphate magnium MgSO4, the so-called magnesium sulfate and in compound with natrium sulfate ion gives sodium sulfate NaSO4 which abruptly strengthens motive motor functions of stomach and intestine, bile section etc. HCO3-4 380-900 (Hydrocarbonate ion easily influences on mucous membrane contributes to mucous dissolution and washing away from stomach. Waters rich in ion hydrocarbonate together with natrium ion (Na+K)4 350-900 can be used as well-quenching table waters.   8. Bjni Dilijan DILIJAN is to be found about 100km from Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. It is one of the largest health and spa resorts in Armenia.
