    3. Lie # 3 – “70 million” “Turks” in Anatolia.

It became a common expression that we are surrounded by almost 100 million Turks.

Those who say that, want you to stop your fight. How can a 3 million Armenia fight 100 million Turks?

One can ask – how come there are 100 million Turks? The answer is usually ready. They say, there are 70 million Turks in Turkey, 20 million in North Iran and 8 million in Azerbaijan.

We already know there are no 8 million Turks in Azerbaijan. Three million at its best.

But are there 70 million Turks in Turkey? What if I say, there are 15 million Turks in 70 million Republic of Turkey. Would you feel better? Let’s count together.

    1) 70 - 12 million Kurds = 58 million.

    2) 58 - 8 million Alevis (minimal number) = 50 million.

    3) 50 - 5 million (Lazs, Hemshins, Georgians, etc.) = 45 million.

    4) 45 - 3 million Arabs = 42 million

    5) 42 - 2 million mohammedan Armenians = 40 million

    __________________________

If that was not enough for you, you may continue:

    6) Of these 40 million “Turks”, how much have first learnt that they were "Turks" in addition to being ordinary Turkish speaking crypto-Greek "Muslims" after the issuance of 1923 Ataturk's turkifization order, according to which all Muslims of Anatolia were written down as “Turks”?

My best guess would be - at least 5 million crypto-Greeks in Antalya region, and at least 20 million on Aegean and Black Sea shores.

So, what are real Turks, not "Turks," now? 40 million – 25 million crypto-Greeks = 15 million.

Which corresponds to the following. Before 1915 Anatolia had the population slightly larger then 20 million. In 1920s, after 6 million Armenians were killed and deported and other Christians (Greeks, Assyrians) were crashed, Anatolia had about 14 million of remaining population. Now it is 70 million. Which is a 5 times growth.

This means that every Anatolian nation's population had grown 5 times ever since.

If Turks are 15 million today, how many were they then? 15 divided by 5 (growth rate) = 3 million Turks of 1915. 14 million of Anatolian population - 3 million Turks = 11 million of indigent people other then Turks in 1915.

Of those 11 million indigent people 2,5 million were Kurds (with 5 time growth since 1915, they are 12 million today). 11 million - 2,5 million Kurds = 8,5 million.

Turkey’s Arabs of today are 3 million (/5 ~ 500 thousand in 1915). Alevis of today are 8 million (/5 = 1.6 million in 1915). 8,5 million minus 500 thousand Arabs and 1,6 Alevis of 1915 leaves us with 6.4 million of remaining indigent people.

Black Sea coast Lazs, Hemshins, etc. of today are 5 million. That makes them 1 million in 1915. 6.4 million minus 1 million = 5.4 million, which is left to be distributed between Greeks, Assyrians, Circassians, mohammedan Armenians, Jews, crypto-Greeks and other people.

Today Armenians are 8 million people and Turks are 15 million. Which is roughly 30% vs. 70%.

In 1915 we were 7 million vs. 3 million Turks. Which was 70% vs. 30%

    History changed our places.

Is this a tragedy? No. Life goes on. But don’t tell me there are 70 million Turks in Turkey. Don’t insult my intelligence.

Grab another coke, if that keeps your point of concentration.

    4. Lie # 4 “20 million“ Azerbaijanis” in Iran.

We have already seen that “70 million Turks” of Turkey as a propagandist trick, foolishly repeated by some alarmist types inside the Armenian society.

We have already seen that the real number of Turks in Azerbaijan hardly equals number of Armenians in the Republic of Armenia.

The last of the panturkist number games is the game called “20 million Azeris of Iran.”

Ladies and Gentlemen. Let’s put the last nail into the coffin of panturkist number games. Let’s make it quick and painless.

What is Iran? A 70 million nation, just like Turkey. We have already seen that the whole ancient region from Aegean See and to Caspian Sea, from Black Sea to Persian Gulf is, and at all time was, densely populated by its indigent inhabitants. We have already seen that any attempt to change the racial make up of this territory with deep-rooted nations has failed, except for an attempt called Genocide. How many Genocides in the area do you remember? Armenian Genocide and Genocide of Christians in Asia Minor. Palestinian Genocide. That’s all.

The region is densely populated and deeply rooted. You can’t just drive out one nation to the other place to live, and occupy its empty place. Those who did it were Turks in Western Armenia and Jews in Palestine. History gives us no other examples.

Wait a second! What about Anatolia itself, you may ask. Isn’t that true that it was once all Greek and now it became Turkish. That’s true. But did it happen through Genocide? No! During centuries of Turkish occupation local population changed its tongue from Greek to Turkish and that’s how Turks gained in numbers. Through the assimilation of Greeks. Up until this day the typical mongoloid Turks can be found right where they should be – high in the Sammer pastures of Uzunjajla in Second Armenia, in Pontus Mountains along Black Sea and in couple of other regions. But all those Turkish villagers (ludicrous combination of words – Turks are nomads who don’t live in villages) – are nothing else but assimilated Greeks. And some of them up to this day secretly praise their real God – Jesus Christ (though the Greek language is already lost). The real Turks of Turkey are a small minority, as we showed before. The majority of Turks of Turkey are not Turks at all.

Same in North Iran. Have you ever heard of any “Genocide of Persians” in North Iran which subsequently led to the replacement of the area with Turks? I did not hear about it and I think you did not either. So, how then it is a matter of common knowledge that “20 million Turks” populate today North Iran? Maybe you’d better ask Gray Wolves?

Before we go on, let’s straighten up the basics. Panic-mongers bring up this figure all the time, but they forget to say that 20 million is a total number of turkic speaking people in Iran. They can be found in different parts of the country, near Isfahan in the Center, in Khorasan in the East (near Central Asia) and, also, in North Iran, in so-called, Iranian Azerbaijan.

We should be certain that Iranian Azerbaijan, the area that concerns and borders Armenia, houses no more then 10 million out of those total 20 million “Azerbaijanis”. The rest 10 million is spread across the country and is migrating in a nomadic way.

But this 10 million is settled down villages, where wheat and fruits are grown, much like in Armenia. What a stunning difference from former Soviet Azerbaijan, populated by sheep-breeders!

Tell you the truth. Iran can be understood as a heartland surrounded by the rim. Heartland is central Iran homogeneously populated by Farsi speakers. Rim around the heartland is populated by Iranian tribes, which, due to their remoutness from the central Iran, preserved their Persian dialects of prehistoric times. Those tribes and tongues include Beluji, Bahtiari, Luri, Kurdish (itself divided in several dialects), Talishi, Giliani, Mazandarani, etc.

Iranian Azerbaijan was once home for such several languages, somewhat close to Talishi and Giliani. Unfortunately, before the Mongol invasion, those Persian-speaking tribes never had a chance to assimilate and submerge into the greater Persian ethnos. Therefore, because North Iran had favorite pastures for Mongol herds, the local population, broken into tiny tribes had no chance to successfully defend their linguistic identity, like Central Persians or Armenians. Over the course of the centuries, they lost their respective tribal languages and by 16th century their main language became Turkic. Turks had been driven further North by Iranian Army, into former Soviet Azerbaijan (that’s why they breed sheeps their and kill Armenians), but the population of Northern Iran did not return to its original language – it was already lost.

Currently, certain Panturkist and Zionist forces use the card of Northern Iran to destabilize situation in the region, to dismember Iran and surround Armenia by “Turkish noose”. Those forces does not take into account the fact that, in most of situations, culture is not being lost with the language. In Anatolia the power was in the hands of Turks so local Greeks lost language and culture and became Turks. In Iran the power is in hand of Persians, so Turkic speaking Iranians do not become Turks, culturally they remain in the orbit of Iranians.

It is evident from the following circumstances. During Artsakh Liberation War, Azerbaijani authorities were hoping for waive of solidarity coming from South Azerbaijan (Iran). They hoped that their “South Azerbaijani brothers” would come and join the Army in the battlefields against Armenians. Not a chance! As one of Azerbaijani panturkist historians – Zia Buniatov – had admitted: “We overestimated our cultural ties with Southern (Iranian) Azerbaijan. Local (South Azerbaijani) people have no idea about our fight against Armenians. Linguistic unity does not necessitate the cultural one”. This explains it all.

Today, Iranian Azerbaijan has friendly relations with Armenia. Armenian enterprises do business with it and open their trade representatives in Tabriz (capital of Southern Azerbaijan) on a wide scale. On the other hand, Iranian policy had influenced the educational program in this region in such a way, that younger generation speaks fluently Farsi and doesn’t speak Turkic. Turkic becomes the language of older people or the language of the home use. In next decades Iranian Azerbaijan will become a member of Iranian family of nations and a friendly neighbor of Armenia.

All Panturkist and Zionist attempts to forcefully “turkify” the region, to destabilize it, to cut it off from Iran would fail, as long as persistent Iranian and Armenian policy continues.

    5. Lie # 5 – “12 million” (sometimes 20 million) Kurds in Turkey.

We will keep it simple and straightforward.

Don’t be afraid of numbers. The power is not in numbers but in purity and unity.

How many are Kurds, where do they settle, how unified are they – those are the question that are needed to be addressed.

Panic-mongers just love this argument. They say – we will never be able to get our lands back, because they are covered with millions of Kurds.

    It’s not trues.

Kurds of Turkey are 12 million. They were 2,5 million in 1915 and, at 5 times growth rate, they grew over to 12 million. Some Kurdish sources say a figure of 20 million. It is not true. This “mathematicians” add to the original 12 million Kurds 8 million Alevis, which is a nation totally different from Turks and religiously close to Kurds of Dersim, who are of Alevi faith.

Overall, Kurds of Turkey are divided into three tribes with three different dialects – Kurmanji, Zaza and Dersimi. These three dialects are so different that people of these tribes can hardly understand each other. What kind of national unity is that? Is there a need to continue? But we will continue.

We need to see where those 12 million Kurds live. People say they live on Armenian lands, but that is partially wrong. Of those 12 million Kurds, Turkish government had forcefully resettled some million to Central Anatolia and had driven some 3 million to the South of the Armenian Taurus, to the areas of Diarbekir and Mardin in 1970s and 1980s. Those refugees do not rush to return to their original places on Armenian Highland – too cold and too windy. So, what we have now is that out of 12 million Kurds, 6 million was originally living in proper Armenia and 6 million – to its South. After deportations of 1 million to Central Anatolia and of 3 million to Diarbekir valley, there are about 2 million Kurds remain in the proper Armenian Lands. And there are definitely not more then 2 million Kurds living within the borders of Sevres Treaty.

Now, should the fact that we are 8 million and Turkish Kurds in Western Armenia are 2 million stop you from fighting for you land?

Or should you just turn off your brain and drink some Sprite now?
