Female Jewish genetic signatures are not related to one another or to those of present-day Middle Eastern populations. The pattern is that 1) Jewish male traders arrived at locality X 2) they married local women 3) they then formed an endogamous group The analogy would be if a bunch of Armenians went to China, and married Chinese women, and then after the first generation of half-Chinese children were born, a social system was set up where the half-Chinese kids only married each other. The subsequent population would never become "Armenian" again. In much the same way the current Jewish population is not "semitic". This is established by looking at Y-chromosomes (passed down the male line) which are > 60% Semitic, and mtDNA (passed down the female line) which is apparently 0% Semitic However what has arisen from this discussion is that the question still open is what the ethnicity of this female half was. It was not jewish, but it might have been picked up from any point in the jewish people's wanderings. Hence there are jews that look like Whites and pretty much like anything else. We can be confident that most Jews (by most I mean Ashkhenazis) are not in fact Halachically jewish, but it would be premature to say "half-jewish" = half White or Asian or whatever. It could be half something else, or a quarter White and a quarter north african, or whatever. Research along these lines is "discouraged".
