Kartvel, if I were you in that situation, I would have kicked his ass! Seriously!

This thread reminds me an old classic by Radio Yerevan: How should the contemporary woman look like? -Like a polyclinic. Clean, free of charge and accessible.

I do not share Margarian's veiws however, what he is saying about Tbilisi is correct. I strongly recomend the book written by U.D. Anchabadze and N. G. Volkova - "Old Tbilisi".

I don't think Simon is Georgian. His nationality is Asshole, i.e Turk!

Cilicia was almost 100% Westernized Armenian Kingdom. Latin and French were in circulation along with Armenian. This is especially evident during the reign of Lusigneans. Cilicia was very important for Crusaders and had the support and approval of various European powers. Even the titles and ranks were copied from Western Europe. Today’s “Baron” – to mean Mister in Armenian is a Cilician legacy.

I agree with all of you about the dubious nature of Byzantium, but it appears that in that part of the world Byzantium was the only healthy alternative for economical and social development for all nations in the region. The fall of Byzantium was the begining of all evils.

I'm with the Georgians on this one. And I agree that Kars accord has lost its importance and hardly could be used as a political or legal frame for any further developments. What people need to do is to rise above their petite nationalistic ambitions and try to shape their future based on mutual understanding and economical prosperity. All of these could be achieved only if Turkey (and their puppet Azveristan), Russia and USA are taken aback. Armenians and Georgians and all minorities and citizens of Caucasus should re-think their approach to the 'big brothers'.

Est li jizn na Marse? Armianskoe Radio otvetilo: NO! There is no life on Mars either!!!

That is right. Armens (Armins) gave the name of the country. There is no difference between Arminia in Asia Minor and Armenia. Armens were eventually absorbed into larger gen-pool of indo-european tribes living in and around Caucasus. The larger part of it were the Hitties. Today Armenians are amalgame of different tribes of Aryan origin, except probably Hurries, who were migrants from Babylon. Asia Minor and in particular Armenia were the cradle of European civilization until the battle of Manizakert. As to Georgian alphabet being older than Armenian.....well, given that the same person wrote both of them.....yeah Georgian might be older with few weeks.

Russians are suffering from a huge inferiority complex. I think they will start looking at the world with better eyes when finally find the answer to the question, " How, come one of the most rich countries in the world has such miserable reputation". As to the Armenians in Russia... Just get out of there.

As I said the best solution to all pending and potencial conflicts between Armenia and Georgia would be working out a CEFTA - like agreement and boosting the economical ties between the countries. Georgia will be a major transportation knot in South Caucasus in near future and Armenia will be the banking and thecnological center of the region.

I just wonder why the hell Gruzins have stolen our Cilician Flag!!! Maybe this is forward thinking, who knows?

Judging by the last sentence of his post, he is bulgarian turk.

I brought the issue of CEFTA to your attention in purpose. I'm well aware where exactly your country is situated on the map. CEFTA could be a model for Caucasus with very positive economical outcome. As to the rest of your comments my comment is NO COMMENT. We need to live as good neighbours and respect each other. If tomorrow a natural disaster (God forbid) strikes Georgia, I will be the one who will first offer a hand for help. But, if tomorrow Russians (or anybody else) decides to annihilate you ..... I'm not going to cry for your deaths. I hope now you got it right.

Anybody, do me a favor...drop a nuclear bomb in this idiot's mouth!

Wrong my friend. This is a Jewish question! The Armenian version is HOW to BE? If somehting stands on my way I will just walk over his dead body! No matter, Gruzin, Chechen or Turk. If a European Georgian custom officer stands on my way, I will change him with Armenian, holding in one hand the New Testament and in the other the Armenian Flag. That is the worst scenario. The Best is CEFTA aggreement. You are Europeans, right?

Well, I guess you are right. The Scott will not care much, but if we apply the same ignorance on the broader picture, you will see that this same picture will be dim and ugly. Were we meant to always succumb to the circumstances? Should we govern our lives based only or the principle of survival?

Have you heard the saying 'What doesn't kill us makes us stronger'. In short that is the Armenian case. Our misery at the beginning of the last century has become one of our most precious assets at the beginning of the new century. As to the Georgian alphabet, no one told me. Just wanted you to know that we are your only neighbors that are not ignorant. My Scottish neighbor have never heard of Georgians before I told him. He simply asserted that since you are on the other side of the Black Sea you most probably are Moslem. Thank God he knew about Armenians.

We celebrate Chrismass twice. Being Armenian has some good side effects. Nope, the list of Armenian organizations is too long. My point was very simple and it is that if Armenians in Armenia don't like you for some reason, you need to do your math very carefuly. BTW, since when you are writing from left to right. I had an argument the other day with neighbour of mine who claimed that Georgians are still writing from right to left!

Dorogoi Iberieli, World has changed. I would be more than happy if you can explain all you said to an American-Armenian attorney, French-Armenian doctor, British-Armenian investment banker, Greek-Armenian industrialist, The association of Armenian organizations in Europe (they have a chair in Brussels), the ordinary American -Armenian street thief or gangster in South California, etc... Happy Hanukah, BTW!

The real problem of Javakh is social one, not ethnic. However, Gruzins are playing with our patience for a long time. The robbery of Armenian goods trying to reach Armenia trough Georgia, the alliance with our arch- enemies, the treatment of Armenians in Georgia. All of the above would have been normal if Georgians instead of shouting left and right that they are European, were honest to themselves and admit what they are. They are so far away from European values and culture that it will take them centuries to even come close to the gates of Europe. Political consideration aside, there are some very noisy Gruzins (semitic-kartvel-mongol mix-bags) that are very loud about historical nonsense, drawing the borders of the new Georgian Empire (they forgot that uncle Stalin is not among us). As I said Javakh is a huge social problem which easily could be transformed into something else, and then Gruzins will smoke not the pipe of peace, but the one that they will never see. Baku-Cheihan.

We already had common state - the Ottoman Empire. It didn't work. It won't work between Greeks and Turks, and it won't work between Armenians and Turks, because turks are imbeciles. The land that has been taken by blood could only be returned by blood. When Turkey returns 90% of occupied Armenia (Sebastia, Kars, Karin, Trabzon, Van) then we might return the adjacent to Artzagh lands.

Only dumb Russians cannot differentiate who is who between Caucasian peoples. Hitler said that Slavs are "the manure of Europe" - rightly so!
