Hello again, I'm so sorry you had to miss me for a short while, but I'm back. Anyhow, I'm currently reading «Մի անգամ հոկտեմբերի 25-ին...» and I hope you can help me a few problems. The story takes place in St. Petersburg, so I hope some of you are familiar with the city (I've looked up what I could on the internet, but am still stuck with a few possible mistransliterations). Here's the first: Չուխոն and Պիտեր Չուխոնցի երկու նավավար, հասարակ նավակները տակառներով բարձած, հանդարտ թիավարում էին: Եվ նույնիսկ նրանց երգը հին էր, կարծես Պիտերում ոչինչ չէր փոխվել: And while I'm asking about place names, I'd like to get back to an earlier question I had about Մորոզով and Ցենդել (see here). I found Morozov on the Russian map (to the south, above Georgia), but I'm unable to find Ցենդել. Anyone any ideas on where it could be (and what the Latin transliteration is)?

The first one is the bit in red: Հանկարծ ընկերս հարցրեց նրան. — Մուրո, դու Լենինի անունը լսած կա՞ս... — Հբա իմա՞լ, — մի քիչ սրտնեղեց նա: — Ես Լենինի զրուց լե գիտեմ... My understanding is that զրուց (զրույց) in this context means "story."

Thanks once again, SAS! Yes, contradictory pairs like "terribly beautiful" work in English as well. I think I'm getting the implication now. Something like: "The remorseless girl is like a painting." Or not? (We know she's beautiful from an earlier comment by Srap.)
